MURDERED BY “REDS”
MISSIONARY AND FAMILY OUTRAGE IN CHINA (Received Dec. 15, noon.) SHANGHAI, Dec. 14. While news of the fate of the missionaries, Messrs Hayman and Bosshardt, who were captured by Communists at Kweichow on October 9, is lacking, news has been received by the China Inland Mission of the death of a missionary, Mr. John Stam, his wife, and their two-month-old child, in the vicinity of Tsingtao. The tStams were captured by Communists who were fleeing before Government troops on Monday. Their bodies were discovered on the battlefield, where apparently the “Reds” encountered Government troops.
