CYDNEY should bo a valuable market for certain typos of New Zealand’s scoured wools, according to the principal of a wool scouring firm in Hawke’s Bay.
Lower grades of wool, when scoured, should sell to advantage in Sydney, he stated, and he quoted figures showing the advantages which the Sydney market, had over London for this class of wool at present. Charges -were considerably less, in the vicinity of £1 10s a bale being saved, and flic remitting of the proceeds of selling -was immeasurably quicker—-some 24 hours after the sale, in comparison with 91 days after shipment, when 'the wool was sent to London. T-he estimated requirements of the Sydney market of 'low-grade scoured crossbred wools was in the vicinity of 100,000 bales a year.
