Hawke’s Bay Still Dry
pYRY conditions still exist in Hawke’s Bay. The recent showers did little good in most parts. In Central ■Hawke’s Bay, hill country and flats alike arc brown and short of feed'. Some parts of Southern Hawke’s Bay benefited by recent rains, but the remainder of the province was generally too dry to respond to anything but a thorough soaking.
