Class D .awards were based on combined results of highest; grading and of.most iovpvov, eiuent, account also being taken of frequency of delivery to factory, but only shareholders supplying less than 25001 b. of cream were eligible to compete. The results of the competition -took a great amount of work in finalising, in view of the necessarily intricate system of alloting points, and the secretary, Mr. H. P. Hamilton, was complimented at a meeting of directors to-dav on what he had achieved.

In view of the great interest .created by the competition among shareholdersuppliers, the directors have agreed to continue it again during the present season with similar conditions, except that the minimum quantity of cream supplied to compete in the three main classes will be raised slightly so as to give the larger suppliers an opportunity to compete ,on a more equal footing than during the past season. The percentage of finest cream supplied by the winners of the various classes showed that a very high standard had been .attained, the winner in class A particularly being highly praised for sending in almost 99 per cent, of finest cream, throughout the season.

One point which was pleasing to the directors and the management, was the number of big suppliers wh,o lmd maintained consistently high averages, not only during the past season, but during previous seasons as well, and during the period under review several were well up with the -prizewinners. The third place in class R was filled by a first year’s rived, apd p.ndor difficulties of collecting that bright have excused an inferior pqrfqrpianec a ■really good average of qualify Was attained.
