ACCUSED’S STORY
TRUNK MURDER CASE DISCOVERY 01’’ BODY (Received Doc. 14, 2 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 13. Jack Notyre, giving evidence in the trunk murder ease, denied that he murdered Violette Kaye. He explained flint he hid the body because he was afraid that (lie police would not give him a square deal owing to previous convictions. He added that Miss Kayo ontertaiiifd men. and she was continually fearful for her life. “We were affectionate and did not quarrel,’’ lie said. “When 1 relumed homo on May 10 f rang the bell fruitlessly. I entered the window and saw that Miss Kaye was dead. I could not bear the sight of tho body, so I wrapped it up in bed clothes and placed it m a cupboard.” Notyro denied previously having seen the hummer with which Miss Kaye was allegedly killed. He said he bought a trunk on May 14 and put the body in it. He denied saying that he “sloshed” Miss Kaye, and also concocting the story of the murder. The case was adjourned.
