CAUGHT BY GAS
SHOPPERS IN_STRIKE RIOT LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6. Five hundred tramway strikers caused a riot at noon to-day in the centre of the down-town district. The police discharged tear-gas and hundreds of shoppers, caught in the clouds of gas, ran frantically in all directions, crying and coughing.
