GISBORNE LAND BOARD
THE MONTHLY MEETING LONG COMMITTEE SESSION One of the longest meetings of the Gisborne District Land Board of recent years was lield to-day, there being an exceptionally full list of business items. The great majority of these items were discussed in committee, as they involved the production of details of individual mortgagors’ affairs, there being no less than 69 cases dealt with under this heading. Among the open business of the meeting was the disposal of section 2, block VI, Tutamde s.d., comprising 9ac. lr. Cop. I'f was resolved, in this connection, to incorporate the area in. the renewable leasehold liehl by Mrs. El J. Mclntyre, with a reasonable adjustment of the capital value of the holding. Another area dealt with, under the same heading, was the disposal of section 25. block VIII, Hangarba. s.d. It was resolved that the area be re-classified as rural land under section 127 (3) of the Land Act', 1924. and’ re-offered for sale by auction as land of special value, it being apparent to the board that owing to the configuration of the block, the difficulty of fencing, and' also the smallness of the area, it is suitable only for disposal to- an adjoining owner. A i enewable lease tenure of sections 7 and 8, block XIV, Tara m a ram a s.d., comprising lQ7ac. 3r. 14p., was granted to H. G. Gibson, at a capital* value of £l5O, with a provision that the Crown may not be called on at any time to form the legal aecess. The Pease of education; reserve sections 307 and 308, in the town of Gisborne, hekl by Messrs. Blair and Innes, being due to expire on June 30. 1935, the board decided to offer a renewal of the lease for a further term of 21 years, at an annual rental of £27 10s.
The license of sections 2, 3 and 4, block VIII. and section 4, block TV, Waingaromia s.d., was declared forfeited for abandonment arid non-payment of rent. :
