CHILLED BESF .EXPORTS WEEKLY CARGO ’WANTED (Per Press Association.) 1 MASTERTON, last nigTit. Evidence of the remarkable progress made in the past two years in the development of the export trade in chilled beef is contained in an announcement that three shipments, totalling over 30CO quarters, will be made this month by Borthwiek's from the Wamgawa works. In the recent past this firm has been making monthly shipments, but Mr. I‘. Borthwick stated to-day that what was wanted now wits weekly shipments. The beef available, he said,'was of wonderfnl quality, and the prices realised at Home are just, a little below those of best Argentine. There was a. good demand at • Smith field for New Zealand shipments.
