COMET’S RETURN FLIGHT JUST OVER 13 DAYS COMMERCIAL BASIS (Klee. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 5, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 2. Flight-Lieut. Untlicart-.tones and Mr. Ken Waller, in their Comet, landed at Lympne at 1.15 p.m. Flight-Lic-ut. Jones said the return flight from Australia was made in older to set an example which could be copied and used on a commercial basis. “We flew only from sunrise to sunset, and yet covered 22C0 miles a day,’’ lie said. “We are not a bit tired. We slept in beds at night, and had meals regularly. We had full opportunities for shaving and bathing. “I think anybody could make such a flight in the same time, provided the right type of machine was used ; there, is no reason why a commercial service should not run from London to Melbourne on -similar lines.”
