NO CARGO WORKED
S.S. WAIPIATA DISPUTE AT AUCKLAND (Par Pfflsa, Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. No cargo work wu» done on the Union Company's .steamer Waipiata at Auckland ' yesterday owing to the dispute with the waterside workers continuing. • It was the third day the vessel has been idle. , The company would- not agree again to engage extra, men, as■ requested, and ail •official of the company was informed by the waterside workers that no work would - he accepted, at the vessel unless tho extra men were employed. In consequence, no call .for 'labor to load for southern ports was made. There were six Union Company vessels in port, and the only one working was the Aorungi, which arrived from .Sydney in the morning. The other five vessels were the steamers Knlingo, Waimarino, Waipiata, Wui'mea and Poolta.
