MAJOR ASSOCIATIONS COUNCIL REPRESENTATION (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association intends to advocate at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Association that the major associations of the Dominion should have direct representation on the council. The committee decided last night, to instruct delegates to move that the council should consist of secretary, treasurer, one permanent resident of Christchurch elected at the annual meeting, one representative of each of the four major associations and ont representative of the minor associations.

GAS CO. BEAT COSMOPOLITAN

Gas Company beat Cosmopolitan Club in a week-end cricket match at Muriwai by 115 runs on the first innings. Each team played 16 men. Cosmopolitan batted first, and but for 52 made'by G, Winter, 11 by J. Scholium and 12 by Taylor, the batsmen failed to reach double figures. Bridge, Baker, and Lloyd had good bowling figures! The innings closed at 87. Gas Company put on 68 in tlio first wicket partnership between Lloyd and Fraser, the former making 47 and the latter 28.
