POLYDORA’S SUCCESS WATER POWER WINS FLYING (Per Press Association.) T.IMARU, last night. The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s spring meeting was held on Saturday in showery weather, before .a moderate attendance. The totalisator handled £6462 10s against £8579 last year. The track was heavy. Additional results were : Teschemaker /Handicap.—3 Polydora 8.9 (Muflit). 1; 1 Sweet Agnes (Russell), 2; 4 Red Racer (W. Cotton), 3. Also ran: 2 Argentic, 8 Ranelagh, 6' Some Shamble, 7 Great Star, 9 Cough, 5 Tout le Mond, 11 Locksley. lied Racer led. along the back, but was joined by Polyt dora three furlongs from home. Polydorst drew out in the straight and won by a length from Sweet Agnes, who beat. Red Racer by two lengths. Argentic was fourth. Time, 2.17. Tycho Haudicap.-LJ Unseen (A. H. Eastwood), 1; 1 Rebel Chief (Dooley), 2; 5 Cheap Money (Messervey), 3. Also ran: 4 To}) Rank, 7 Imperial Spear, 8 Heather Glow, 2 Elba nor, 9 Invoice, 6 Brown Pearl, 10 Water Polo, 11 Citron. Won by a length and a-half, and a length. Heather Glow was fourth. Time; 1.19 1-5. Hadlow Trot.—4 Guy Mauritius (Watts), 1; 2 Imposter (Hooper), 2; 7 Aroglis (Fraser), 3. Water Tower moved up in the straight and won by a. length from Knockfin, who beat Rebel Star hv three lengths, with Silver Streak two lengths away fourth. Time, 1.17 3-5.
