RETURNS FOR SEPTEMBER LITTLE VARIATION LONDON, Oct. If!. The Board of Trade returns for September show the imports to be £57,738,000, exports £33,957,000, and re-exports £3,249j0-00. Imports in September of last year totalled £57,803,924, and exports, including reexports, amounted to £35,030,061. The principal increases comparer! with September last, year arc a s follows: —Imports: Grain and flour, £306,000; other food, £722,000; tobacco, ££610,000; rubber, £1,055,000; non-ferrous metals and manufactures thereof, £522,000. Exports: Iron and .steel and manufactures thereof, £685,000; machinery, £328,000; vehicles, £Boß,ooo'.
Decreases arc shown in the following articles: —Imports: Meat, £403,000; dairy produce, £1,245,000; cotton, £406.000; wool, £244,000; hides and skins, £326,000; fats and manufactures thereof, £304,000; leather, £250.000. Exports: Wool, £147,000; non-ferrous metals and manufactures thereof, £335,000.
