GREAT HOAX RECALLED
DEATH OF WIG MAKER (Received Oct, 15, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Get. 14. . The death is reported of Willie Clarkson, the famous wigmaker, who has costumed tlie Court tableaux since 1889. He participated in the century’s greatest hoax when he made up a student as tin l Sfiltati of Zanzibar, who was given a civic welcome at Cambridge as an Abyssinian potentate and also visited H..M.S. Dreadnought and was ceremonially received.
