(Herald Correspondent.) Thu eleventh annual aquatic sports meeting sponsored by the Jrlautanoa Sports and Entertainment Club was held at Waima. The weather proved ideal. The linishes were very exciting, and the work of adjudicators was in the capable hands of Messrs. U. Eivers, .1. 11. Carver, and E. E. Porter. I 'he Kerr Challenge Cup, lor the most points in classes i, 2, and 6, was won by J. Jefferd, who obtained eight points out of nine, after a meritorious performance, At the conclusion of the sports, Mr. A. fl. Williams presented the prizes and congratulated the winners. Thanks were extended to those who so generously donated the handsome prizes: Messrs. Oppenheimer and Company, Richardson and Company, Limited, Tokomaru Bay Farmers, S. Brodie, Te Puka, returned home this week.—Canon and Airs. Woodward and the Alisses Joyce and Dot Woodward, of Palmerston North, returned home this week after spending the holidays in Tokomaru Bay.—Miss L. Nicholls, of Helensville, has returned north after spending part of her holidays in Tokomaru Bay among old friends.—Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Gardner and Miss B. Pepper, of Tokomaru Bay, were visitors to Gisborne recently. —Air. ,J. Pepper, of Hamilton, returns north this week after spending a fortnight’s holiday with his parents in Tokomaru Bay.—Mr. D. B- Haworth, manager of the Bank of New South Wales at Ruatoria, has arrived back after a holiday in Auckland. He was relieved by Air. L. Perkins, of the Tokomaru Bay branch.—Mr. and Airs. Jackson, sen., of Rotorua, are staying with Air. and Mrs, S. Jackson, “Pauariki,” Tokomaru Bay.—Miss M.
