(Hi'i'fdd Correspondent.) Thu Nuhaka Sports Club, which for a number of years lias not functioned, is to renew its activities. At a. meeting held on Wednesday, when there was a giood at tendance of keen supporters, it was decided to conduct a spoils meeting at Nuliaka on Easter Monday. Mr. K. Stewart was voted to flic chair, and the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: l'atron, Mr. M. It. Shaw; president, Air. J. Mcßae; vice-presidents, '.Messrs. G. Shield and D. Hughes; lion, secretary, Mr. J. Goldstone; and a strong committee of sports enthusiasts. Messrs. W. Walker and J. Goldstone were elected as a deputation to wait on the Nuhaka A. and P. Society with a view to interesting that body in the movement. A j:no., famine was drawn up as under:— Maiden horse events: dump, open hunters’ jump, tilting the ring, whip and bottle race, flag race, turning competition, back to front race, thread the needle lace, and buck jumping. Foot races: 120yds maiden, 100yds sprint, 220yds, throwing the cricket ball, stepping! the chain, ladies’ race, children's race. Mr. A. J.. Devery was propa,sed as judge for the horse events, and Air. H. Schwass starter. Mrs. L. Clough, Mrs. Hart and Air. R. Clough are on a holiday visit to Dannevirke.—Mrs. J. Begley has returned from a holiday visit to Frasertown.—Mr. C, E. Stewart is visiting Nuhaka.—Air.

A. R. Gray, of the Wairoa P. and T. Department, is relieving at Nuhaka.— Mr. and Airs. F. ’J’. Wood by and Miss A. Woodby have returned from their holiday tour of North Auckland.—Airs. J. Millar is a visitor to Wairoa. —Mr. and -Mrs. R. Steed, Alis.s Davey and Miss B. Steed arc visiting Auckland.—Mrs. G. B. Steele and family have returned from Gisborne.—Mr. J. Millar, who is a patient at the Wairoa Hospital, is progressing favorably. A meeting of the Anglican Guild was held at the vicarage on Wednesday afternoon. Owing to a number of the members being! on holiday there was not a big number present. Final arrangements were made for the moonlight garden party, which is to be held on, February 8 at the vicarage. A number of novel attractions wil lbc introduced, and it is lo be hoped that the guild will he favored with good weather.
