BIBLE CLASS BANQUET
ST. ANDREW’S FUNCTION St. Andrew’s young men’s Bible classes connected with the St. Andrew s Debating Society held their annual banquet in Findlay’s tea rooms last evening. There was a large attendance of members, with their fathers and friends, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Mr. 11. Paterson was the chairman. Afterwards, the gathering spent the evening with a musical programme and community singing, and several humorous stories wei’c related. A number ol items Were given by a vocal quartet comprising Messrs. A. Webster, ,T. A. Thorburn, A. Falconer and L. Thomson. , Music for the community singing was provided by Mr. L. 1110108011. piano. Tho toast list was as follows‘The Church,” proposed by Mr. M. Cameron and responded to by tho Rev. .1. Aitken; “Our Guests,” proposed by Mr. E. Martin and responded to by Mr. S. H. Phillips; “The Debating Society,” proposed by Ah’. Hunter Patterson and responded to by Air. 11. Diulfield; “Our Parents,” proposed by Mr. E. Khull arm responded to by Mr. P. A. Clark; “Our Country,” proposed by Air. E. Ross and responded to by Mr. C. Sebire; “The Bible Class,proposed by Mr. 11. Bloom and responded to by Mr. A. Scott-; “Our Leaders,” proposed by Mr. A. Falconer and responded to by Ain C. A. Smith ; “Our Friends,” proposed by Air. 1). Campbell and responded to by Mr. A. Young.
