WOMEN ON DETECTIVE STAFF
LONDON, Aug. 10
Three women have been appointed as permanent members of the detective staff at Scotland Yard for the first time in the history of the- Metropolitan, police. The innovation, latest of many reforms recently initiated by Lord Trenehard, chief Commissioner, followed experimental tests of women’s aptitude for criminal investigation, which proved eminently successful.
