50 YEARS’ MINISTRY
DR. GIBIVS JUBILEE (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. This week, the Rev. Dr. Janies Gibb is celebrating the jubilee of his ordination into the Presbyterian Church. lli s 50 years in the. ministry was completed on March 3 last, but the celebrations were postponed until later. Dr. Gibb commenced bis ministry at. Footseray, Melbourne, in 1883. He was called to First Church, Dunedin, in 1886, and St. John’s Church, Wellington in 1903, retiring in 1926. He was prominently associated with the foundation of the New Zealand branch of the League of Nations Union and other movements in connection with church and educational work.
