CROSSING FATALITY
DRIVER BEFORE COURT
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Stanley Frank Lincoln was charged before Mr E. Page, S.M., to-day, with negligent driving so as to cause death. The accident occurred on the night of May 21, when the defendant, in driving back to Palmerston North, attempted to cross the railway at Porirua, the defendant’s wife, four-year-old daughter, Mrs Gaskin, and Miss Enright losing their lives. Evidence was heard on the lines given at the inquest.
Lincoln was committed for trial bail being allowed in the sum of £SO.
