CALL OF DUTY
TOURING FOOTBALLER INQUIRIES IN LONDON (Received Sept, 11, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 10. While practising at Illcley, Police Con stable Curran, a member of the Aus tralian league football team, received a message from the Police Commissionei at Sydney instructing him to go to Lon don to make inquiries concerning a smuggling case at Sydney, involving cor tain Londoners.
Constable Curran caught the next train to London and event to Scotland Yard, where he met a couple of detectives, who were promptly detailed ._ lc assist him. Consequently, his mission is a complete success, lie also had tin privilege of seeing the inside, working ol Scotland Yard, departmental chiefs ex plaining the details of the crime-track-ing machine. Constable Curran is now rejoining the team.
