IRISH LAKE RE-APPEARS
DISAPPEARS EVERY 100 YEARS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received August 31, 10 a.m.) LONDON, August 30. An Irish lake which, according to tradition, disappears for a brief period every hundred years, has justified its reputation. Lough Nasuil, in County Sligo, 45 acres in extent and 30ft. deep, recently vanished with its 52,000,000 cubic feet of water. It reappeared on Monday night with a loud noise, when huge quantities of water burst forth. A man walking on the bed of the lake was just able to run ashore when the new’ lake formed in a few minutes.
