AUSTRALIA SEEKS REDUCTION TONGALA (Vic.), April 7. Speaking at the opening of Tongala Agricultural Society’s autumn show today, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. J, Allan, said £600,000,000 borrowed in London carried interest up to tij per cent. He did not wish to say too much, but Mr. Bruce, Resident, Minister, was working hard, and it- was probable that as soon as Australia balanced its ledger there would he an all-round reduction of 1 per cent in Australian loans in London.
