TO BE RESTARTED
SOUTHLAND WOOLLEN MILLS (Pur Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, last night. Negotiations having an important hearing upon an Invercargill secondary industry which has been at a standstill, for a considerable time have just been sue cssfully completed, a Christchurch syndicate, comprising Mr. L. M. A 1 Her and others, having purchased the Rosed..le Woollen Mills.
It is stated that the purchasers will take possession on Alay 1, and that it is their intention to install up-to-date machinery. It is believed that once t' e industry is recommenced, a considerable number of unemployed with experience in the woollen trade wll he absorbed. The mills were closed in 1930 owing to the prevailing economic, conditions.
