The Stawell Easter gift of 130yds, which is regarded a,s the Blue Ribbon event of foot running in the world, resulted yesterday as under: C. Heath (Vic.), ilyds, 1; R. McNeill, 12yds, 2; W. George, Ilyds, Won easily by three yards. Time, 31 10-16 sec.
An attempt was made to injure Heath on the previous day. His assailant mado a vicious kick at his ankle, and was arrested, after which Heath was provided with police protection.
