TE KARAKA MEETING T. .CAMPBELL'S FINE RIDING Such was the success of the Waikohu Returned Soldiers’ Sports Club’s meeting at 1 e Karaka. yesterday that it is claimed to be one of the best that the club has yet held. In each section of the sports the events went oil so smoothly Unit those in charge of the arrangements should have every reason to he pleased A race of exceptional interest was the Three-Mile Amateur Cycle Handicap, in which T. Campbell, oil scratch, lowered for the second time existing Poverty Bay records. His first success was in the 880yds. handicap race, which he completed in 3sce. less than the best previous time for the distance, established in January, 19Jj, by Jack (uiggen Douglas.
