P.B. CLUB’S TOURNAMENT Play in the final rounds of the Easter Cup competition and handicap tournament, conducted by the Poverty Bay Golf Club was commenced early this afternoon, a considerable amount of interest being evinced in the progress of the finalists in each division. The weather was excellent, and the links in good order. In the Easter Cup final, M. B. Maude was three up at the twelfth. The handicap tournament final was won by D. Barry, who beat A. BnrnsGraham 2 and 1. AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP (For Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. In tho first round of the Auckland provincial golf championship, B. J. Smith beat H. Brindsdcn, last year’s champion, 6 and 5; .Silk beat lfawartli, 4 and 3.
