LITTLE PROGRESS MADE (Per Press Assneiafion.) WELLINGTON - , this dav. Little progress was made in the Conciliation Council yesterday ,in the hearing of the Dominion drivers’ dispute before Mr. W. Newton, Conciliation Commissioner. | The schedules of the proposals and counter-proposals of the workers and the employers were at variance to a considerable degree. The important question of the weekly hours of work -was the first one considered and was held over for further consideration later in the proceedings. Much time was spent discussing the general economic situation and kindred topics.: In this, the commis- ; sioncr gave the council a more or less free rein, hut ho remarked when the council adjourned until to-day that he had heard’ most of it recently several times over.
