ADDINGTON SALES I FAT SHEEP SELL WELL REEF VALUES UNCHANGED I (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night. 1 A heavy fat lamb entry, with a sharp fall in values to a parity with export schedule rates, was a feature of the Addington market to-day. Store sheep.—The entry was the smallest for months, and no importance jwns attached to the auction. Pat lambs.—The entry totalled 3700, | tho largest of tho season. Freezing i works were able to compete, for the lirst | time, as values were equal to or below I the export schedule. The opening rate j was a pound for twos. The average , price ruling was 4RI, and the decline j compared with last week was 2s to 2s 6d a head. The top price was 15s 4d. | Fat sheep. —The entry totalled 4000 head. There was a good sale, with a general advance of Is a head, exporters operating for a small quantity only. Extra prime heavy wethers made to 15s j 7d; prime, heavy 13s to 14s; prime | medium weight 11s to 12s 9d; ordinary land light 8s 6d to 10s 6d; extra prime i heavy ewes to 14s 4d; prime heavy 10s Oil to 12s 6d ; prime medium weight 8s to 10s 6d ; ordinary and light 6s 6d to ■Bs 6d. j. Tho fat cattle entry amounted to 380 I head, including southern consignments. Values were practically unchanged. Rest beef made up to 21s per IOOIbs., and in odd instances to 22s 6d; good prime beef 17s to 19s; heavy 15s to 17s; ordinary to 12s; rough down to 9s. WESTFIELD MARKET SHEEP VALUES FIRM BEEF CLASSES EASIER (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last niglft. There was a fuller yarding of beef at the weekly Westfield fat stock sale today, and values, except for tho finest medium weight sorts, failed to sustain the slight rise registered last week. Extra choice ox sold to 17s per IOOIbs, choice and prime ox 15s to 16s; secondary and plain ox 12s to 14s; prime young cow and heifer beef 14s to 16s: ordinary cow beef 7s to 12s. Extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £6 17s 6d to £7 7s 6d ; heavy prime steers £6 to £6 15s; lighter prime steers £5 to £5 17s 6d ; light prime steers £3 17s 6d to £4 17s 6d: small and , unfinished steers £2 10s to £3 15s; extra heavv prime voting cows and heifers £4 to £4 17s 6d ; heavy prime cows and heifers £3 to £3 17s 6d; lighter prime cows and heifers £2 5s to £2 17s; other killahle I cows* £1 5s to £2 2s 6d. There was also an increased yarding of calves. Bidding was not keen, and ■ with the exception of prime light vealers all classes suffered a. drop in values. Runners made ?2s to 50s; heavy vealers 40s to 43s ; medium 33s to 36s ; light 22s to 295; small 14s to 18s: rough and bucket-fed 6s to 12s; hobby calves 2s to ss.

1 The yarding- of sheep was rather lighter, the hulk of the offering being fat ewes of fairly good quality. Prices generally were firm afc late rates. Prime wethers made 10s to 14s; unfinished wethers 7s to 9s; prime ewes 6s to 12s 6d : unfinished 4s to 5s 9d : hoggets 7s 6d to Us 6d : prime lambs 9s to 14s ; unfinished 6s 6d to 8s 6d.

Fat pigs.—There was a full supply. The demand was firm and a steady sale resulted for all classes. Choppers made ?0s to 555; heavy prime baconers 42s to 475; medium 36s to 41s; light 32s to 355; heavy porkers 28s to 31s: medium 25s to 275: lierht 15s to 245; slips 11s to 13s; weaners 4s to 10s.
