SINGULAR ACCIDENT
ELDERLY WOMAN INJURED (For Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A singular accident yesterday resnlted in injuries to an elderly lady, Mrs. Catherine Blair, of Mount Eden, who was admitted to Auckland Hospital. Mrs. Blair, who is 70 years of age, was walking along the footpath when the tyre of a passing motor car hurst, and a large piece of rubber hurtled through the air, and struck Mrs. Blair, knocking her to the ground. The full extent of her injuries is not known, hut it is believed that she may have received a fractured pelvis. Her condition last night was not serious;
