RUSHING IT THROUGH
WORK OF THE SESSION YESTERDAY’S PROGRESS (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The usual end of the session rush which set in yesterday with Parliament’s determination to complete the legislative programme in time to take the adjournment to-night, was continued at yesterday’s sitting. Three bills, the New Zealand Loans, Property Law Amendment, and Lands Washing-Up Bills were put through nil stages, and the supplementary estimates were passed before the House rose at 1 a.m.
Resuming at 1.0.30 a.m. to-day, the House proceeded to local bills and to the passage of the Finance Bill and Local Legislation Washing-Up Bill. The Central Reserve Bank Bill was introduced.
