STRONG COMPETITION SYDNEY, Dec. 5. Tho wool sales were resumed with strong competition in all sections, Japan predominating. The market was without change from the closing rates of last series, American competition being noticeable on superior wool. Greasy merino made 22|d. Some 1.1,885 bales were offered and 11,218 sold, and .1228 bales were disposed of privately. The average price of wool sold in Sydney this season to date .is £ll 9s od per bale, or B.Bd per lb.
