CIVIL SERVICE WAGES
“GUT” NOT CONSIDERED (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Rumors have been in circulation that it is the intention of the Government to impose another “cut in the salaries ol civil servants, and a 20 per cent, has been mentioned as the possible figure. Replying to a- question this afternoon, the Hi, ifoii. G. W. Forbes stated that the Government hud not given any consideration to the question of making further reductions in the salaries of State employees.
