’VARSITY CONTESTS LONDON, Dec. 3. In inter- ’Varsity contests Cambridge won the 400 yards, the mile, the 4SO high hurdles, also the two miles in 8.7 min. 58 2-ssec, equalling the record. Watt, the New Zealander, ran. Oxford, including Davies, of Geelong, won the half-mile low hurdles in lmin 43secs, a record; also, including Lovelock, tho New Zealander, the four miles'. Lovelock sat for an examination early in the morning and was flown to tho course. He ran a great last lap, winning by 60 yards. The half mile was declared void owing to doubtful measurements after Cambridge had won.
