At What Price?

AFTER attending a meeting of direc tors of Empire Dairies, Limited in Melbourne, Messrs. W. (Inodiellow O. J. Parlane and Dynes Fulton returned to Auckland this week.

Although upon their return they said they had no statement to make, Mr. Dynes Fulton, who is chairman of directors of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company, Limited, said in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald before leaving Australia that lie anticipated that Now Zealand butter exports this season would be increased by 15 per cent. As there was every indication of Australia having a similar ineieuse, it was probable that ,’{o,ooo tons of additional. butter would be exported this year to the British market.

This huge additional quantity, stated Air. Fulton, could only be consumed at slightly lower prices than pertained during the previous season, which would offset any immediate benefits which otherwise ■> would have been received as a ‘result of the 'additional duties agreed upon at Ottawa.
