RIOTING FARMERS
TOWN HALL STORMED TAX RECORDS DESTROYED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received December 2.2 p.m.) WINNIPEG, Dec. 1. Officials of the town of Arborg have appealed to the Provincial Government for an armed protective force as a resuit of the rioting of 500 farmers who prevented the sales, of farms for unpaid taxes by storming the Town Hall, destroying the tax records, and forcing the bailiff' to resign after being stripped of bis clothing.
