VOYAGE OF HEARTSEASE

YACHT AT SUVA DEPARTURE FOR AUSTRALIA SUVA, Nov. 33. After a voyage of 22 days from Whangarei to Nukualofa, and another voyage of four clays between the latter port and Suva, the Auckland A class keel yacht Heartsease arrived here on November 9. The yacht left- Whangarei on October 4 and on arrival at Nukualofa spent a week or so in port. The crew of the yacht, who arrived here fit and well, report that after leaving Whangarei the HeaiP.ease ran into a °spell of bad weather from the east which lasted three or four days. Once that was over, however, the crow were troubled, not by too much weather, but by too little. Several times the yacht was becalmed for longer or shorter periods, and as they neared Tonga they ran into continual head winds.

They report that the vessel behaved splendidly. No trouble was experienced with tho rigging or canvas, and the yacht generally proved to be well suited to their requirements. The only part of the equipment which was not satisfactory was the wireless apparatus, which did not work well from the time the yacht left New Zealand. When the Heartsease arrived at Suva she brought a letter mail from Tonga, this being the first time for many years that mail has been brought into the group in such a small vessel;

The yacht cleared Suva for Sydney this morning, going bv way of tlte Lan Group, where it- will probably call. From Sydney the yacht will sail to Brisbane. The crew were hospitably entertained bv the inhabitants of Suva. —Auckland Herald.
