A 15-year-old boy, Ron Flotclier, o< com pushed an unusually long bicycle rid© at Auckland recently. lie left Ins homo in Sea View road, Avondale, at 4.30 a.m. and pedalled through the Dome Valley to Wellsford. Thence ho went on to Muungaturotn and through tho gorge to Waipu. From there ho continued to Whangavei, and he reached his destination, Titoki, shortly aH er 7 o’clock on the same evening. The journey of 160 miles occupied 15 hours, a time which would have been better if tho lad bad not been forced to carry his bicycle over two and a half miles of bad road.
