NIUE ISLAND
,CHANGE OF CONTROL (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Control of the island of Niue, one of the Cook group, will be transferred from t lie Cook Islands Department to the External Affairs Department, according to a bill introduced in the House this afternoon
The change is brought about by the fact that the Maui Romaro serves Samoa, which is under the External Affairs Department, and Niue, and it is considered that more satisfactory results will lie attained by having the Maui Romaro amt tho islands which the steamer serves under tho one control.
