WOMAN FATALLY INJURED
STRUCK BY TWO CARS (I’or Press Association.) .AUCKLAND, last night. Fatal injuries were received by an unidentified woman, who is believed t 0 have been struck by two motor cars 'on the Great South road near Green ..lame at 7.20 o’clock last evening. The 'woman, who was of middle age and well dressed, had nothing in her possession to identify her. No missing ! person had been reported to the police Jthis afternoon. The accident occurred at the top of a slight hill amt, according to one of tlie drivers concerned, John NcwIsonic, the woman was struck by a car travelling a little way ahead of Newsome’s sedan and thrown directly in his path. Newsome’s car struck the woman heavily, throwing her towards the centre of the road. | it, is reported that the first car did not stop and the efforts of the police to trace its movements or identify the owner have, so far, proved unavailing The woman received severe injuries to her head and had both legs crushed. Flic died while on her way to 'Auckland Hospital.
