RIFLE SHOOTING
GISBORNE DEFENCE CLUB OCTOBER COMPETITION The third shoot of the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club in the October Handicap competition held during the weekend resulted in fairly consistent scoring. Nineteen competitors took part in the 200yds and the 300yds, eight shots at each range giving a possible score of 80. The best performance was that put up by F. B. Jeune, who with a handicap of one, scored 76 points. With handicaps of 4 6,8, and 9, R. Bull, S. Pirie, R. C. Miles and E. Pirie all tied for second place, their gross scores being 75 points.
