THE AMATEUR TITLE WAGG DEFEATS DUNCAN (Per-Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last, night. In tho final of the amateur golf championship to-day, played in beautiful weather, and on a course much improved by Saturday's rain, R. Wagg (Hutt) beat A. D. S. Duncan (Wellington) two up and one to play. Neither of tho players was at his best, but Duncan especially was far below his form of last week. Wagg won because of his superiority on the puting greens, where Duncan seemed unable to do anything right.
MANAWATU CHAMPIONSHIP (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., last night, Iu the semi-finals of the Manawatu open golf championship, W. A. Keeling (Manawatu) meets D. C. Collins (Wairarapa), and A. E. Ekstcdt (Manawatu) meets H. Blyth (Shannon).
