KILLED EY LIGHTNING PARIS, SeiJ. 7. General Jacquemot, a member of the Superior Council War, died last night as the result of having been struck by lightning during the army manoeuvres now taking place in the Grenoble region. j General Jacquemot was one of the most eminent of French soldiers. In 192(J he was commander of the Fourth Army Corps, after having been Li 1925 Principal Secretary ot the Ministry ot War. In 1929 lie was conniiauder-ii'.-chief of the Rhineland Army. On reaching this post he was made it member of the Superior Council of <,ar. He held, among many ofhei decorations, thy Grand Cross oi.\thc Legion of Honor.
