NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (Per Press Association.) TRENTHAM, this day. Competitors at the annual meeting ,of the National Rifle Association moved back to the long ranges this morning to lire at 800 and 000 yards in the B series of matches, which do not count for the belt, but give the marksmen an opportunity of a tryout over the championship ranges. When competitors went down at the mounds the weather was dull and overcast, with a steady left wind, but as the morning advanced the visi-bility-improved and the definition became clearer. The first men down in the Whitcombe and Caldwell match, which called for JO rounds at 800 and at 000 yards, struck a good patch, and several possibles were returned. VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIP (Received March 21, noon.) MELBOURNE. March 21. Warrant Officer J. D. Sheerin, of the Randwick Small Arms School, won the King’s Medal and the Austialian army rifle championship, with a store of 160. Sergeant Lege, of Melbourne, was run ner-up with 156.
