UNEXPECTED RESCUE CAROUSAL AFTER WRECK (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Received Dec. 30. 3 p.m.) RIGA, Dee. 29. A Finnish steamer stranded in a severe storm in the Baltic. The crew, giving up hope of rescue, looted a number of cases of smuggled liquor and indulged in a drinking orgy while the ship threatened to break up. The carousal ended in a fight, when a sailor was killed hv a hammer blow. Eventually another vessel succeeded in rescuing the crew.
