GRUNDY—DUNCAN

The Church of Christ, Gisborne, was the scene of a charming wedding on December 18, when Hilda- Daisy, a daughter ol Air.!, and the late John Duncan, Gisborne, was united m ihe bonds of holy matrimony Id Arthur Willi,am. soi.i of Mr. and Mrs. K. She carried a shower bouquet- of white and pink roses, cyclamen, and streamers ol fern and pink ribbon. , There were three bridesmaids, Miss Ethel Worrall (chief), Miss Vrena Freeman, and Miss Jean McCulloch, sistei of the bridegroom. All wore frocks of mauve organdie muslin made in early Victorian style, with deep scalloped skirts finished with apple green organdie. Their bats were of green crinoline with streamers of mauve satin ribbon caught with diamante buckles. Bouquets oi mauve flowers were carried. Beryl FLbett, a relative of the bride, was flower girl, and her frock was of pink georgette. She wore ;l Dutch bonnet of radium lace and curried a basket of pink roses.

Mr. MncHalick, of Wellington, undo of the bridegroom, was best man. Mr. F. Bond, of Rangiotu (cousin of the bridegroom), and Mr. W T . G. Nicholls (brother of the bride) were groomsmen.

A reception was held at Rosco tearooms.

Mrs. Nicholls wore, a fawn Celanese coat over a beige lace frock with hat to tone. Her bouquet was of shaded Iceland poppies. Mrs. McCulloch wore an ensemble of black silk with white jabot and black hat. ITer bouquet was of red noses. The bridegroom’s grandmother wore a black satin coat over a black frock with white vest and a black hat. When Mr. and Mrs. McCulloch left lor the south, the bride wore a smart- fawn tailored costume with a fox fur, saxe blue hat, and blouse, and lizard skin shoes.
