The defence estimates allow 24,700,000 marks in excess of 1920 for ship construction and armament, including a first instalment of 10,890,000 marks for the armoured cruiser Ersatz Lothringen, which will bo completed in 1924. The cost of the Ersatz Preussen, which will be completed in 1922, will be 73,000,000 marks, the Ersatz Braunschweig, in 1920, 72,000,000 marks, and the Ersatz Leipzig 42,000,000 marks.
The next six years’ programme includes the Psntzelsass, which is being laid down in 192(1, four destroyers, five torpedo boats and five coastal vessels two artillery, training and six mine searching vessels, and others smaller absorbing 30,000,000. marks.
