CINEMA FIRE PANIC
17 CHILDREN KILLED mad: flight in darkness (Received April 16. 11 a.m.) ROME, April 15. Seventeen were killed and 11 injured as a result of a cinema panic at Licata, Sicily, when a film caught fire. The audience stampeded, although the building was not damaged. All the victims were, between 12 and 18 years of ago. The electric light failed, and the occupants of the balcony fought madly in total darkness to reach the exits.
