A VICE-REGAL INCIDENT (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. .A press reference to a closed 'loot incident at Dunedin Town Hall has been brought under the notice ot the Governor-General. Ihe action of the Vice-Regal parly in :i pprc>at*hin;4 the wrong door involved, in lheir hxcellenotes' view, no lack of attention on the part o£ the civic authorities, as it was not customary lor the Mayor to pany the Governor-General during an inspection of the guard of honor. Ihe direction subsequently taken was a diversion from the ordinary proceedings, which caused no inconvenience to J heir Excellencies, although possibly involving some concern to the civic authorities.
