Tho authoress states: “The Queen’s influence on the Brince of Wales lias not yet been great enough to persuade him to take a wife. Her Majesty, in common with most of us, would like to see him married with the prosspeet of a direct heir to the throne, •hut her efforts so far have proved in vain. The Brince of Wales on every ot her subject hut marriage lias implicit faith in his mother’s judgment, and consults her concerning most of his undertakings.
